The Norwegian game accelerator, Spawn Point Trondheim has launched a new business network for game studios aimed at strengthening collaboration, business development, and international growth for Norway’s games industry.

The initiative, supported by Innovation Norway, will bring together studios from across the country in a structured program focused on international expansion, publisher relations, investment readiness, and export growth.

As the global games industry continues to grow, many Norwegian studios face challenges of accessing networks, funding opportunities, and market expertise that is needed to compete globally. Spawn Point’s new network aims to address these challenges through workshops, accelerator programs, investor and publisher matchmaking, and participation in international industry events.

Norway needs to become better at developing and exporting new industries, and the games industry holds significant international potential,” said Brynjar Svarva, Senior Adviser at Innovation Norway. “Through this business network, Spawn Point Trondheim is helping create stronger collaboration and a stronger global market position for Norwegian game companies.

Spawn Point Trondheim believes collaboration is essential for studios operating in an increasingly competitive global market.

We are stronger together,” said Linn Søvig, Managing Director of Spawn Point Trondheim. “If Norwegian game studios are going to succeed globally, we need to build shared expertise and a better understanding of the global market and keep tabs on where the funding is flowing and which shape and form. This network will help unite the industry and give Norwegian studios better resources for growth and export.

The network will offer workshops, accelerator initiatives, international delegations, and networking opportunities with investors and publishers. The long-term goal is to strengthen Norway’s game development ecosystem and increase the country’s creative exports.

The first studios joining the network include Myte Interactive, Adventales, Tooth Games, Shadowfay Games, Lugn Games, HiPhi Games, Studio Gauntlet, and Breach. Most of the participating companies are previous members of Spawn Point Trondheim’s accelerator program. In addition the more established Studio Gauntlet and Breach, have joined the network.
