Norwegian indie studio Adventales took home the top prize at Spawn Point Trondheim’s first public pitch event, winning NOK 20,000 sponsored by SpareBank 1 SMN after presenting its upcoming game, Lemonade Apocalypse, to a panel of publishers and investors.

The event took place on January 8 at DIGS in Trondheim, where Fremmed Games, Infinity Branch, Myte Interactive and Adventales from Spawn Point Trondheim’s current cohort pitched their projects on stage to a jury of established industry publishers.

Adventales was selected as the winner for delivering what the jury described as the most polished and commercially viable pitch.

“The jury was unanimous,” says Linn Søvig, Managing Director of Spawn Point Trondheim. “Adventales delivered a concise, well-structured, and professionally presented pitch. The evaluation focused on clarity of communication, commercial potential, market understanding, and delivery.”

The jury consisted of publishers Devolver Digital, Akupara Games, and Offbrand Games, along with investor Bifrost Entertainment. The publishers were invited to Trondheim to meet Norwegian developers and evaluate projects from the accelerator’s game studios.

“The teams have been actively working on their pitches since October,” Søvig explains.
“After three months, it’s essential for developers to present their games to real publishing and financing partners. Bringing in international publishers allows for concrete, industry specific feedback on both the game and the business strategy behind it.”

While the Norwegian Film Institute distributes roughly NOK 50 million annually in development funding for Norwegian games, this support is rarely enough to carry a project through to global launch. As a result, publisher partnerships and private investment remain critical for most studios.

“Publishers can provide not only funding, but also market insight and marketing support, all of which are vital for reaching an international audience,” says Søvig.

Adventales has been part of Spawn Point Trondheim since October 2025 and won the award for Best Pitch.

“Winning Spawn Point’s pitch competition was incredibly exciting,” says Sam Asgari of Adventales.

“The prize money is great, but the real value is the feedback from experienced industry veterans. It’s clear proof that the Spawn Point program works. These monthly sessions have helped us grow into a more confident and professional studio — ready to engage with the international games industry far sooner than we otherwise could have.”

Founded in June 2024, Spawn Point Trondheim is a Norway based accelerator focused on early-stage game studios. The current cohort includes Adventales, Fremmed Games, Infinity Branch, Wanderwolf Studios, and Myte Interactive.

The accelerator program runs until March 2026 and focuses on funding strategy, marketing, and commercial positioning for the global games market, while also building a strong developer and industry network to support long-term growth of the Norwegian games sector.
